This Golden Bear is a ‘special edition’ and is made of extra heavy steel with a thickness of 1.20 mm. This model is therefore very suitable for percussionists who are used to playing with power. The dynamic range is very large, with beautiful sustain.
Due to the stability of the material and the way of tuning, the ‘Special Edition’ series is very suitable for use in rehabilitation or sound therapy, for example. Playing together on 1 instrument can also have a therapeutic effect on so many levels at the same time.
The sound hole (the ‘Gu’) at the bottom gives a deep bass sound, and the steel around it is tuned to create higher overtone effects. The oval shape of the tone fields makes it possible to play flageolet tones.
