Description
Rubber edges are not standard for the Gadung. A rubber edge does not only have to be aesthetic: it also influences the harmonics (overtones of the sounds). The edge can thus change the timbre; it will slightly dampen the higher tones, causing the sound to feel warmer and ‘softer’. For example, if you want a more intimate sound for meditation, this edge can offer a solution. In addition, the rubber edge is nice to grasp when transporting or relocating.
Pay attention: this version is suitable for handpans made of 1,2mm steel.
(For handpans made of thinner 1mm steel, the smaller version of the edge is more suitable)
